This was the only reference ever made to his age, but was not considered canonical by the writers. In the song "Hello Nurse" he says he's "seven" to rhyme with "heaven," though according to Tom Ruegger, Wakko is actually eleven. He also does not wear pants on most occasions, often joking about this aspect. He is the only one of the three that wears a shirt and has a red hat, which he wears even with other costumes. Wakko is arguably the most animalistic of the trio, as several segments have him behaving like a dog - walking on all fours, doing tricks for treats, etc. However, when Bob Daley, who ran the studio at the time, saw the balloon, he thought that a misshapen Mickey Mouse (who was owned by Disney, Warner's rivals at the time) was sitting on top of the tower and he demanded it be removed.Wakko is the same species as the other Warners and is a little taller than Dot, but he is about the same height as Buster Bunny. An inflatable balloon of the character was made once to promote the original show, sitting on top of the water tower.Yakko is some level of lactose intolerant. His idol is famous actress Michelle Pfeiffer (who in the series was portrayed in the Catwoman outfit she wore in Batman Returns). In some episodes, he is seen writing with his left hand, and in others, he is seen writing with his right hand. In an interview with Tom Ruegger in Talkin' Toons With Rob Paulsen episode 14, he states that Yakko is 14 years old.His design is also based on the 2020 Hulu reboot, though his head is significantly darker than the rest of his body. The pants are held up by a large black belt with a golden square buckle. He wears a pair of smoky topaz slack pants that go up to his waist. Yakko has primarily black fur with a red nose and white face and feet.
